November 19, 2022 Friendsgiving for the Angel Tree

The Youth Ministry attended the 5:00 PM Mass on November 19 and proceeded to the Parish Hall to enjoy a Friendsgiving Dinner with Fr. Dave and Fr. Antony.  Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and the fixings along with a gob cake were provided.  In turn, the youth donated over $350 to Helping Hands in support of their Angel Tree program.  Following dinner, Fr. Dave provided a very informational presentation on the Eucharistic Revival, including its purpose and the plan, as well as some interesting facts about Eucharistic Miracles and Carlos Acutis. Learn more about Carols Acutis here.

October 22, 2022Trip to Haunted Hollow

On the evening of Oct 22, the Youth Ministry took a trip to the Haunted Hollow in Rockwood.  Fr. Dave kicked off the meeting before 5:00 Mass with a brief discussion with the group.  Pizza, wings and pretzel bites from Big Dogz and some Halloween treats provided by the Mavridis family rounded out a dinner at St. John Paul II Center.  The youth had some time to mingle and discuss the planned events through January as well as brainstorm some ideas for future events.  Then it was off to the Haunted Hollow for an evening of fright.  We started the evening with just four members of the Youth Council and ended with interest from 5-6 more to help plan and organize the events.
