Music Ministry

Music Ministry is made up of volunteers who desire to enhance the liturgical life of the parish through service as instrumentalists and singers. Under the administration and direction of Mr. Joseph Gaunt, members of each group practice and prepare to be leaders of prayer through song.

General Choir Information

Liturgical Choir rehearses on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 and usually sings the 9:30am Mass on Sunday. Members are from High School and up.

Contemporary Choir rehearses on Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30pm and usually sings every other 5:00pm Mass on Saturday. Members are from High School and up.

Schola Cantorum rehearses from 7:00 to 8:30pm on Tuesday and usually sings once a month at various Masses. Members are High School and up. Please contact the director of Music and Liturgy to schedule an audition.

Adult Bell Choir rehearses on Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00pm and plays for major holidays and special events. Members are High School and up.

Resurrection Choir sings for all funerals and meets a half hour prior to each funeral. Please contact the parish office at 266-9718 ext. 501 to be placed on the “call” list.

Alpha Choir (grades 4-6) and Omega Choir (grade 3) rehearse at lunch time and sing one 5:00pm Saturday mass per month as well as weekly school masses. Both choirs are parochial school.  CCD students who are interested in singing should contact Michelle Robatin or Joseph Gaunt for more information.

Cantors are members of our parish who lead the assembly in sung prayer, particually the responsorial psalm after the first reading. An audition is required. Please contact Mr. Gaunt.

Liturgical Ensemble plays one mass per month and for special occasions throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on the two Tuesdays prior to the date we play.  We are a group of instrumentalists, generally in grades 7-12, as well as adults. Please contact Jerene Philibin at for more information.
