Community Breakfast Beneficiary Guidelines

The Mission of the Parish Community Breakfast is:

• to create space for fellowship, welcoming both parishioners and area community members,
• to enjoy a delicious meal together, and
• to raise funds to support local organizations that provide food, clothing, basic necessities and shelter and church ministries aiding those less fortunate.  

Beneficiary Guidelines:

• Be a local organization that assists Johnstown area residents and whose mission aligns with Catholic teaching/or be a ministry within St. Benedict Church that helps those in need.
• Be the beneficiary of Parish Community Breakfast funds not more than once per year. (Exceptions may be made if extraordinary need is present.)
• Be an organization/ministry that serves those less fortunate and provides food, clothing, necessities, shelter or elder services to area residents.  

Request/Approval of Request:

• Organizations/ministries may submit a request to the Breakfast Committee through the rectory office or by contacting Susan Kiniry at 814-341-4230 or at sekiniry@gmail.com.
• The Breakfast Committee reviews the request, and shares the request with Father Peles who determines if the request is one we may support.
• The Breakfast Committee will notify the requester of the outcome.  If approved, the Breakfast Committee will assign a date for the organization’s/ministry’s breakfast.
